Acoustic Panel & Bass Trap Installation
Installation details for 1200 × 600 × 100 mm absorption panels, 300 mm bass traps, and N=7 QRD diffusers. Mounting hardware must preserve isolation and allow future inspection where marked [AC].
Section A — Absorption Panel Installation
RWA45 · removable mountingAll absorption panels use French cleats and must remain removable for service inspection. Maintain the stated edge clearances when aligning first-reflection panels and corner panels.
Drawing A1 — French Cleat Side View
Matching 20 × 20 mm aluminium cleats on wall and panel back, fixed 50 mm down from panel top edge.
Drawing A2 — Spacing Rules
Maintain edge clearances so panels do not short-circuit corners or touch floor / ceiling finishes.
Drawing A3 — Concrete Wall Anchor
Fischer FUR 10 × 80 anchor with neoprene washer isolating the cleat from the concrete wall face.
Section B — Bass Trap Installation
300 mm RWA45 corner trapsBass traps are not pushed tight into the corner. The 50 mm air gap behind the triangular section improves low-frequency absorption and must remain unobstructed.
Drawing B1 — Corner Mount Plan View
Triangular trap with 300 mm legs, 50 mm rear air gap, and two anchors at 600 mm vertical centers.
Drawing B2 — Floor / Ceiling Connection
The trap sits on the float floor, not the structural slab, and must stop 25 mm below the acoustic ceiling line.
Section C — QRD Diffuser Installation
N = 7 diffuserQRD panels are mounted on two French cleats and centered between 1400 mm and 2000 mm AFF on the south walls of the Control Room and Video Studio.
Drawing C1 — Well Depth Profile
Quadratic residue sequence depths in millimeters. All well widths are 85 mm.
Drawing C2 — Mounting Height and Cleats
Two French cleats support each 8 kg diffuser. Centered between 1400 mm and 2000 mm AFF on the south wall.
