Wall Assembly Cross-Sections
Horizontal slices through wall types W1–W7. Layer colors are locked across all details for fast contractor coordination, and total thicknesses are dimensioned in purple.
W1 — North Concrete Wall
STC 65 · ~39 cm totalExisting 300 mm concrete upgraded with RSIC-1 clips, hat channel cavity, 50 mm Rockwool, and two gypsum layers to control reflected energy into the rooms.
W2 — NW Diagonal Concrete Wall
STC 65 · ~39 cm totalSame acoustic upgrade logic as W1, adapted to the diagonal perimeter wall. Coordinate clip spacing with the diagonal geometry and maintain continuous finish thickness along the entire face.
W3 — East Server Wall [AC]
STC 62 · ~26.5 cm totalDecoupled server wall with existing air gap, 70 mm studs + Rockwool, and double 16 mm gypsum skins with Green Glue on both sides. Green Glue application is mandatory [AC].
W4 — South Rebuilt Wall [AC]
STC 50 · ~15 cm totalRebuilt lightweight wall with gypsum / Green Glue on both faces, 100 mm stud cavity, and RW100 insulation.
W5 — Buffer Spine [AC]
STC 55 · ~15 cm totalBuffer spine wall mirrors W4 but remains a dedicated service spine. Keep framing true because it establishes the offset between the east and west room sets.
W6 — VO / Control Partition
STC 53 · ~12 cm totalLightweight staggered-stud partition carrying the observation window opening. Maintain the stagger so the opposite gypsum faces are not hard-coupled through the studs.
W7 — Studio / Editing Partition [AC]
STC 48 UPGRADED · ~12 cm totalUpgraded partition showing the added Green Glue damping layer on the studio-side double gypsum build-up. Coordinate this detail directly with D4 frame packing.
